For this food lab we had to make omelets. The actual preparations of the omelet before being served went well, its was just preparing the veggies that got a little bit messy. We diced our veggies nicely but kind of messed up on the sautéing part. First we forgot to put the potatoes in the microwave for 1:30, which means we had to sauté it longer, I think my onions got burned because of it. Anyway, my partner and I successful made our omelets without anymore issues.

Before actually making the actual omelet, we had to know how to hold a knife properly and safely to cut our vegetables. To hold a knife properly, use your thumb and pointer finger to grip and hold the handle. Then use a rocking motion when cutting the vegetables, make sure the tip of the blade does not leave the cutting board. For this foods lab, I think we used the “medium dice” when we had to dice our vegetables into tiny pieces.
