The thing that I was most proud of was my communication skills with my classmates and table group. At the start of the course, I was new to meeting my table group but soon created friendships through interests and humour. I represented my learning from previous years and used it to help not only myself independently but as well as everyone around me. I worked with people around me when they were stuck on a seam sample on an assignment. I helped explain and gave a demonstration of what the assignment was asking for. For my core competency, I communicated in discussions with the class by raising my hand to answer questions and in conversations with my group by listening to them and their questions.

My Poem
Curricular Competencies Reflections
The purpose of this poem was to show how my bed has been there through everything and how comfortable it is and is what makes me feel safe to cry. I didn’t have anyone in mind when writing this poem, but when I think about it, I love having all my friends or the people I care about on my bed since I have so many blankets, pillows and plushies on it to make it comfortable and welcoming. I guess I could say this poem is personal since it talks about crying and finding euphoria in sleeping since I don’t enjoy always having to push myself to go out and having a hard time presenting myself into the world. I didn’t try to plan or develop this poem a whole lot, I had a bunch of rough drafts that were very sad maybe a little too personal, some people won’t relate, some will, everyone’s different with their mental health and where they are in life, this poem just looks back about how I can go to my bed for comfort when life isn’t so good, how my bed will always be there for me and won’t go anywhere until its time for a change.
Creative Thinking Core Competency Reflection
I chose this topic because its something I love in my room, my room is my safe place but there’s nothing more comforting and welcoming as my bed. I thought about what I do in bed rather than just sleeping and how I spend time in bed making myself feel better and how I feel much better in dreams than I do in real life. Finding ways to explain how sleeping and laying bed feels due to the criteria helped a bunch. My poem isn’t very innovative. I like my poem as it is, If I were to have some feedback from others, I probably could find some things I would like to change about it.
