Reflection –

1. Was I able to identify how the geography impact the town / city with ease? How was I able to find how the physical geography impacted these areas?

Yes. Because of all the work we did in class, it was pretty easy to just look back and find the information I needed. I barely used google as you can see in my bibliography below, because of how everything was right there in our notes.

2. How did the technology personally affect my learning? What were the pros and cons of using maphub.com? Be detailed in your response here.

I was actually impressed at how much I enjoyed using Map Hub. I usually don’t like doing homework on new random sites because it makes it confusing for me. But with the video explaining how to use Map Hub it was so easy! It affected my learning because now I know how to use a new website which makes me very happy. I also really enjoyed the idea of Map Hub and even thought of using it again in my own time to pin down places around the World I want to travel to, and write some things about why and where I would want to visit in the certain location. I would say there were no cons for using Map Hub. The video was super helpful with that.

3. Were you satisfied with the result of your design and solutions?

Yes. I think it turned out really nice overall. I had a lot of fun picking the colours, icons and “decorating” the project. As for the written work, I also thought it was easy and was satisfied with how it turned out. The only part I struggled with was the ADL questions but after talking to Mr. Purdy I understood it very well, and am proud of that section too.

d. How would you refine your assignment in the future

I think I would maybe just give more information and be more detailed especially in the economic activity parts because I sort of just wrote them down and didn’t give much information about them. But if I am being very honest, I think it turned out nicely and wouldn’t change much at all.
