Greek Week

I rate what I made for greek week a 5 out of 5. I was going to make peta bread but I thought we had all the ingredients the day we made everything but we didn’t so we I could not make the bread. In my opinion the Greek salad was the best and that’s what I had the most of. The sauce was also amazing but I usually eat it with the chicken and I didn’t like the chicken that much but I think that was because we put a bit too much mustard and I don’t like mustard. The only thing that I would change for next time is how much mustard I put in the chicken and everything else was so goo that I wouldn’t change anything else. The process was 2 days but I liked it better because there was less to do in one day and less to clean up so I thought that was nice. Next time I make greek food I would love to make the bread because I think that would be way better so we can wrap the chicken in it and put any other veggies in there.

Chocolate Lava Cake

I rate my lava cake a 5 out of 5 because it was really easy to make and I have never tried one before and it blew my mind away. The process of making this was very easy and I would totally do this a million times again. I wouldn’t change anything about the recipe or do anything different for next time. I would say that the ones at restaurants are better looking but I think they would both taste the same. I would try to make them more appealing next time and make them look like you got it from a restaurant. I watched a video before making this and I think it really helped me know when to take it out of the oven because I was scared I was either going to burn it or it was going to have way more liquid in it. I would totally recommend this recipe to anybody who loves lava cake.

Risotto

I rate the risotto I made a 5 out of 5 because I have never made it or have had it before and it was amazing. I found it interesting how the rice grew so much just because we poured in about 5 cups of chicken broth. After watching the video of making risotto I learnt to not add more chicken broth until the first cup you added has absorbed into the rice. I also learned that you have to use this type of rice or else it won’t work because it won’t absorb the chicken broth properly. I also learned that you can add mushrooms and different types of veggies inside of it. I added basil this time and I think next time I would try added mushrooms instead. I had no challenges making this dish and I would totally do it again.

Pierogies

I rate my pierogies 5 out of 5 because they were so fun to make and I would totally make them again. The only challenge in this recipe is that it says it takes 45 min to make everything but it took me about 3 hours to get everything finished. if I were to make this again I would want to try to put something else into them to see how they would taste. This recipe is a vegan recipe so it should be pretty healthy I think. I made this because I love pierogies and I thought it would be really fun to make my own and put what I want inside of them. The day that I made the dough and the filling I didn’t actually cook them to eat that night because they took too long so I put them together and then put them in the freezer so my family and I could have them the next day for lunch or dinner.

spinach and sausage tortellini

I rate my pasta a 5 out of 5 because it was a very good recipe and I had most of the ingredients at my house which was amazing. In the recipe making the pasta was the third step but I think that it should be one of the first because I had to wait about 10 min for the pasta when i should have made it first so I didn’t have to wait in-between. I would totally make this recipe again but I would try a different type of sausage instead of using a turkey sausage. I choose the recipe because my family wanted an easy and healthy dinner. I would also make the diced tomatoes a bit smaller so when we eat it you don’t just get a big chunk of tomato. Other then that this recipe was very good and I would wanna make it again one day.

butter chicken with rice

I rate my butter chicken 5 out of 5 because it was fun to mix it up with all the spices and add more or less then it said. The recipe said to put chilli flakes but I didn’t because my family does not like spicy foods. It was very delicious and I would totally make it again. It didn’t take that long to make which was good. I also just used the rice that I had at my house already instead of getting the rice that it said in the recipe but it still tasted the same and it was still very good. There was not really a struggle making this recipe the only thing that I would do different is put maybe a little less cream and maybe a little my spices.

lemon poppy seed loaf

I rate my loaf a 5 out of 5 because it was really fun to make and it was so delicious. There was no challenge to making this but loaf but I have never zested a lemon before so that was hard but that was the only hard part. Making the drizzle was probably the easiest part because there was only 2 ingredients. I think that it was some what healthy compared to other loafs that you can get at Starbucks or somewhere but it does have a lot of sugar in it. I would totally make this loaf again. It was probably one of the best loafs that I have ever had

Baked Potato Soup

I rate the soup that I made 5 out of 5 because it used methods that I have never done before which was fun and it was very delicious. I found this recipe on pit rest and decoded to use it because my family likes soup and I looked through the ingredients and we only had to go get a few things from the grocery store. The challenge for making this was making sure while I was cutting the potatoes and onion that made sure what was in the pot already did not burn, so I had to cut the ingredients while I was watching the soup. The one thing that I changed about the recipe is that I did not add the chilli pepper because my family does not do good with spices so we decided to not put it in at all. I would totally make this recipe again but I might half it because the recipe said it served 6 and my family is only 4 and we had a lot of extras and it might go to waste later on.

chicken and mushroom soup

I rate my soup 5 out of 5 because it was fun to make and it was very delicious. There was only one challenge with making this soup is that it was liquid so I put a bit more flour in it to make it a but more creamy and it looked and tasted way better. One thing that I would change about this is that I would cut the mushrooms smaller so you dint get bit chances of mushrooms every time you have some. It wasn’t that hard to make this recipe and I would make this again. If I made this again I would add more carrots and celery just to give it a bit more colour and flavour.

Breakfast Home Lab

I rate my breakfast lab 5 out 5 because it was fun to make and it tasted very good. the recipes that I had were not very hard to make but it took a lot of time to make because it had to be in the oven for a long time. The smoothie that I make was a layered smoothie that tasted very good and I would totally try to make that again. The nutrition of my receipts were good and the smoothie was make from frozen fruit, a little bit of milk and ice so that smoothie is for sure healthy. I would totally make this again but I would like to try to put different vegetables in it next time.
