Knife Skills

The omelette lab went pretty well because of how well we worked together and how we helped each other if we were struggling or needed help. Some challenges we had was knowing how long to cook the eggs before putting in the vegetables , but we overcame this by asking for help. For this lab we sliced and diced our vegetables in small pieces but in other recipes they use different knife cuts like chopping, mincing and more. We use a variety of knife cuts when cooking because bigger pieces of food take longer to cook and you don’t want your food to be cooked unevenly. Your knife cuts will affect your final dish because it won’t look as nice if all of your food is cut in different shapes and sizes.
