Cooking Show Edublog

#CommunicationCC:

In this project, teamwork was the key to have a successful video. I can take on roles and responsibility. My partner and I decided to cook vodka pasta together. We had our own roles and responsibility. We took turns cooking and assembling the ingredients together as well as taking turns of filming each other. She had the responsibility of writing the skit and make sure it is submitted and I had the responsibility of editing the videos and making sure to submit it on time. Our teamwork resulted our project grade 100%.

Core Competency Self Assessment

#CommunicationCC:

During the pig dissection lab, teamwork is essential. I can take on roles and responsibility; I do my share by dissecting certain parts of the body while my partner dissect the other parts. We took turns on handling the scalpel and cutting to dissect the pig successfully.

#PersonalSocialCC:

I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. In the middle of this Lab, I had to go on a vacation and had to take the oral quiz when I got back, missing the practice rounds and the end part of the dissection. I took the oral quiz by myself instead of with my partner and got 100%. I was very proud of myself.

#ThinkingCC

I can ask open-ended questions to gather information, Identify some parts of the pig was a little hard due to the colouration, some people’s pigs had colour which was easier to identify but ours were neutral and mono so I asked questions regarding of those parts so I can be successful with the lab and the oral quiz.

I’m going to be honest, my grandma is the cooker in the house but i did help on quite a few things. I washed dishes and helped to cut some of the ingredients!! like the pork and the potatoes!! and for the cassava cake! i just helped combining the grated cheese, butter, milk, a portion of the cheese, eggs, sugar and coconut milk! it’s my mom’s recipe so my mom did the rest but i helped with the clean up!

Safety & Sanitation

The lab went very well. We were fast and very cooperative. The scones turned out well, it tasted so good. We didn’t really have any sanitation concerns. We washed our hands well, hair was tied, sleeves were rolled up. It’s very important to was your hands before cooking or baking because you don’t want all the germs to transfer from your hands into your food. You don’t want to catch a virus and get sick.

Knife skills

The lab was somewhat chaotic. The omelette was very good but we had to wash extra dishes. it was a challege because we had to clean a lot of dishes bout other than that, everything went well. We used the dice cut method for the vegetables. Since, we only had 1 egg, usung the dice cut method made it easier because it was smaller and
