I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as gaming influenced my choice of hobbies as many of the video games I play involve sports like soccer and basketball which I play almost every day. By playing these games I learn more about sports which helps my knowledge of the games in real life much better. My experiences as a digital citizen also helped influence some of the courses I took in school like business 10 as it’s a course mostly done on computers and the ideas learned in the course are similar to many video games I play.
I make digital ethical choices such as keeping my accounts private which helps ensure only people I know can see the stuff I post. Having my location off and not giving my location to apps or sources that ask for them also help ensure my safety which is a #1 priority. When I’m online, there are many negative things, so I try my best to keep what I post positive, Like a post or a repost on my Instagram. Finally, to make ethical choices I will try and think before I do anything online or in my everyday life as it’s a good skill to learn and can help me make positive choices I won’t later on regret.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are playing video games with my friends and engaging with new people in different games. Doing this helps me learn how different gaming communities work and if a certain video game is right for me. By trying out different games I build strong relationships with the people I play with and build good chemistry and friendships along with that. Video games have been a huge help to me over the past year and especially during quarantine as they gave me something to do and still be able to have fun with my friends that I couldn’t see.
Hi, my name Armaan. I am currently in grade 9 and I am excited to start my high school journey. Through my first year of high school, I would like to start off strong by taking risks and exceeding what is expected of me if I can.
A subject I enjoy is science and would like to learn lots more about it this year. I’m not the biggest fan of math but I don’t struggle in it. The thing that matters most to me is my family, friends, and the freedom I’m lucky to have. My favourite colour is red because it reminds me of my parents cause there favourite colours are red and I also just think it looks cool. In my free time at school, I like to hang out with friends and socialize. Outside of school, I love to play basketball and soccer with and without friends. When I play sports I can just get my mind off everything negative that’s happening and focus on getting better. I also enjoy joking around with friends, watching comedies and scary movies, and also love playing video games with my friends. School is also a big part of my life as if I want to succeed and achieve the goals I try to focus on academics as much as possible.
ESPN is my favorite website because as someone who watches sports all the time ESPN is the place to go to see live scores, headlines, and anything else I may need to know that I missed. I use ESPN mostly when I missed a game or need to see any changes that were made. It also covers more than just one league as it covers the NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, F1, and many more leagues across North America. If you’re a die-hard fan of any sport I almost guarantee you’ve used ESPN before. This website also means a lot to mean because growing up as a kid I always loved to watch sports and whenever I needed to know something I hopped right on to ESPN and would sometimes spend hours looking at what happened on that particular day. So, therefore, my favorite website is ESPN because I’m a big fan of sports, it brings back memories to when I was younger and, it has lots of great, useful information.
My Favourite Video
This is my favorite video as it taught me some very good life lessons and has made me realize so much about myself and others. I like using this video as motivation and pride to keep going and sometimes listen to it before a game or a video similar to this one. In the video, a part that really hit me is when he says ” I saw you walk in so I knew I had to outwork you”, and that to me signifies that if I want something I should work for it and/or outwork someone for it. I use this video as, motivation and it has really impacted me in a positive way. The final reason I really like this video is that a legend and NBA superstar who many looked up to was the key in the video and every last word he said was wise and encouraging, straight from him.
My Favourite Image
This right here is one of my favorite images as it shows so much can be accomplished no matter how old you are, the way you look, and how much money you have, and everything that makes us who we are. In the photo is Canadian soccer phenom Alphonso Davies who came to Canada at a young age with nothing but his family and worked very hard and is now one of the best in the world. This photo shows me that I could do whatever I want as long as I have the right idea in my head and I’m willing to work for it. I also love this photo because of the fact that something like that can happen all within a few years and the struggle you go through to get to that point. Those are all things I see in this particular photo and it really does shock me. Just to one day put a smile that big on my face would be an incredible feeling.
My Favourite Quote
The most important thing in life will always be family. The people right here, right now.
– Vin Diesel
This quote is so real and always keep these words somewhere in my head. The reason I do is that I know this is very true to the real world and especially to me. For example in reality you meet so many new people and some will stay and some will leave along the way, but the ones who stay are the ones you trust, can maybe even call family, and you know they will be there by your side until the end. It’s important I keep this with me cause there are times where people will leave and that’s when I know they were not real with me from the beginning. So therefore this quote is a life lesson and an event that will one day happen either good or bad. THAT is the way I see this quote.
