Social Awareness & Responsibility in CLE 10
This artifact was an assignment given to help enhance our problem solving along with our management, and responsibility skills. The main idea of the assignment was to plan a party for a class in a real life scenario using a certain amount of money without going over and trying to cover all funds including food, drinks, accommodation (venue) and more. More importantly it had to inhibit a variety of these things as the main goal is for everyone to have a good time.
This assignment showed and brought out how responsible I can be with money along with fulfilling a hard and challenging task. This tested my abilities heavily and as I was trying to problem solve and figure out ways to save money in certain areas, so I could make the party as fun as possible. Although saving money was not as hard as I thought as pertaining to almost anything, its possible that if you look hard enough and expose vigorous research the task could be completed quite finely. In the end I was able to include an amazing venue, great food (both snacks and dinner), drinks and entertainment. On top of all this I was able to pay for hosts which helped run the party smoothly. At the end of all this I still had 20$ left and used that as prize money which everyone was eligible for. Overall the money management part of this assignment held the greatest responsibility portion of this assignment.
The Social Awareness piece of the assignment was in factor when planning activities, different types of entertainment and food/drinks. As this was a party for my classmates knowing what many kids my age like is crucial. So by asking a couple of friends on their opinions on certain activities and food they enjoy I was able to get a glimpse of what a fun class party would look like. As said this was done through being socially active with peers/friends as in order to be successful you have to see things from different perspectives as their are many different types of people in the society we live in today. In a whole I was able to successfully fulfill the tasks needed and use the input form others to further help with the party planning.
The greatest challenge I I faced during this assignment was definitely finding the right balance between the factors to this assignment. Although I got input and advice from many it was still difficult to comprehend what others see as “fun” because we all see thing in different ways. In the end I rose up to this challenge as I was able to successfully complete the assignment.
In short, I am now confident in my planning skills along with the social and responsibility components that come along with it. I feel that these skills are very important to have as at some point in all our lives we will most likely have to plan something whether it’s a birthday party or family get together. These skills also helped me improve my entirety as it showed me what good responsibility looks like along with what it can lead up to.
