Junior Basketball – Day 1 of BC Championships. Early morning win against Okanagan Mission, then a heartbreaking loss to Abbotsford Secondary. Game Sunday at 3:30 against Gladstone Secondary.

After an early morning win at the Langley Events Centre against Okanagan Mission by a score of 48 – 39, the junior boys advanced to the round of 16 teams.  They faced a good team from Abbotsford Secondary and fell behind early in the game.  At half, they were down by 10.  With a strong fourth quarter, the team held the lead with a minute remaining, but the game eventually went to overtime.  Unfortunately, the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for and lost by a margin of 59 – 55. The boys played with grit and determination and should be commended on their performance!  The Centaurs play Gladstone on Sunday at 3:30pm.  Come out to support the boys!
