Safety methods for this recipe included knife safety, and stove safety. I demonstrated strong knife skills while slicing the bacon, dicing the broccoli, and chopping the onion. The nutrition is a 7/10 because there’s a lot of veggies, but also bacon, and a lot more spice than the recipe called for, which was my partners decision. One of the challenges of this recipe was mixing all the ingredients with a ton of cayenne and trying not to cry. This meal did end up meeting product standards by being a bright orange colour, extra spicy, and not too mushy. One of the strengths of the dish was the spice which added another level to the flavour, although it was a little too much for my preference. I don’t think I will make this again because I’m not a fan of corn or rice and the spice didn’t appeal to me either.
