Snowball Cookies

This week we are doing a theme for our cooking, “Greek Week”. To start it off we made a Greek style cookie called kourabiedes or snowball Christmas cookies. It was a flour mixture method and we added ingredients in bit by bit. We first creamed our butter, salt and icing sugar. Then added in the flour, then the vanilla and water. We used a scoop to help us with the sizing of the dough and rolled it into balls before placing them in the oven to bake.

I gave myself a 4 on this lab because we did run into a problem where we added the vanilla and water before the flour, but easily fixed it by adding in a bit more water to make the dough smooth rather than crumbly. I usually don’t eat cookies with nuts in them, but these were very tasty and not to sweet so I would definitely want to make them again.
