this piece was a personal decorated tile with the initial of our first name hidden in the design. I created a very fantastical like setting because I enjoy fantasy world’s and I love night time.to I added the two to create a cosy view out the window with my initial “C” as a crescent moon

Ids reflection February

1. What is your Inquiry Question? Has the focus of your inquiry shifted or changed since you wrote your Personal Learning Plan? Explain. 
   
   my question is “how well can i draw the human body and figure with practice and studies?”. I just recently developed this question due to my idea shifting.

2. How is your time management? Are you using CENT time weekly to work on your Inquiry, or are you finding other time during the week? 
   
   it was pretty bad because i didnt have much motivation to do my inquiry, but now that im doing one i like it will get better

3. What resources (people, websites, apps, videos, etc.) have been most helpful? 
   
   i couldnt find any helpful ones with my old inquiry and i have only just started developing my new one

4. What challenges are you currently facing with your Inquiry? What challenges have you overcome? 
   
   i was facing the challenge of lost interest and motivation so i changed it.

5. Describe your growth of a Core Competency through this inquiry process. 
   
   Creative thinking, because both my old one and new one need you to take creative liberties.

6. How will you share what you have been learning, creating or planning in this Inquiry? Are you on track to share your learning by the end of May or early June? 
   
   Im planning to create a folder/ timeline of my anatomy drawings from now till may or june

7. Will you continue working on this Inquiry, or parts of it, for your Capstone next year? 
   
   maybe. i still dont have a plan for my capstone at all but it might be art related meaning that the anatomy studies i am doing right now will help.

Law 12 core competency reflection

I believe that the sentencing system should be rehabilitative. The people sent to prison should have an ability for a second chance. Yes they should still serve the time they were given but I do believe that people can change and come clean with their actions. That’s why I think that rehabilitation is the best way to go about sentencing.

I can analyze my own beliefs and consider views that do not fit with them. – as much as I believe in second chances and change in people I do know that others may not have the same reasoning and good reasons why and I know to respect people with different views from me.

Life science 11 Core competency reflection

My core competency is creative thinking. My artifact is our dichotomous key with buttons.

I was given a bag of buttons and had to make a key to identify each button. So it took a lot of creative thinking to create it.

Core Competency goals

1. One strategy or activity that stimulates my imagination is when I listen to music or draw (or both) because music puts images into my head and I can create stories based off of a song, and drawing helps me take my thoughts and get them out of my head and on paper, and it also helps me create and imagine things.
2. An example of something I have spent a lot of time learning about is drawing and art in general. I’ve been drawing from a young age and I have spent years learning new things to help me make my art better.
3. When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I usually turn on music and try to get back into the zone I was in before. Even if it means ignoring everyone around me. And usually once I get back into the working headspace its hard to get out of it unless I keep getting distracted.

Communication

I made this portrait of me and my sibling (and best friend) Bones for my final because I wanted to show them that I care about them. One of the ways I show affection to people is making art for them, because its much easier for me then like telling them or something like that. I also just feel like I communicated the bond me and Bones have very well in this painting. It has a very happy feelings even though Bones still has a lot more darker colours.

Math 10 Games day written assignment.

The main game I played was Uno and my main strategy was just playing a card that would work. Sometimes if I could I would ether start a +2 chain or join in one. I’d also use cards to hinder other peoples winning ability, whether that be with skip turns or reverse cards. Since Uno is such a simple game it wasn’t hard to figure out how to play better, though then again it all depends on what cards you get (sadly I usually got bad cards), but when I did get some ‘good’ cards I was pretty good a judging when to play certain cards. Honestly its kinda hard to think of good strategy when its such a simple game.

I think that this script fits to the core competency well with the context that for this project you had to choose an accent and preform with it. Me and my partner chose Irish for the accent (though we were horrible at doing it…) and preformed with it.

Art Studio Core Competency Reflection

Creative Thinking

I think that this drawing connects to this core competency quite well because art/drawing in general already takes a lot of creativity. Though with this piece there was a lot more actual thinking that had to go into it because I had to make a semi-realistic drawing of a Minecraft video. I had to create a character design based off of Etho’s Minecraft skin whilst using different things for my original design of him because its a new series. And I had to figure out the background whilst being limited by my current artistic talent.
