Espresso and Biscottis (dessert)
Pasta Fritta (main dish)
Cooking my Fritta
Caprese Salad  (side dish)
Just finished cutting my bocconcini

I made a Pasta Fritta with my side dish being a Caprese salad and for dessert espresso and biscottis. I planned for my meal to be delicious and make me feel like I was in Italy. I knew I wanted to make espresso because I love the smell of coffee in the air and the noise from the espresso machine while it brews the espresso. I really like creamy cheese and that is why I made the Caprese salad, it asks for a soft type of cheese but it is also firm. I love the taste of sweet tomatoes in the summertime and the strong smell of basil. The basil was so delicate in my hands while I ripped it up. The tomatoes were sweet and ripe. The golden brown shine on the Pasta Fritta was crunchy and soft in my mouth. The changes that I could make if I wanted to, would be to add different favours to change the taste (Cocoa powder to make it a mocha coffee). I could of brought whipping cream for the top to make it sweet. I could of added avocado or red onion to the salad, to add more color/favours. For the Fritta I could of put chunks of mozzarella or cut up vegetables. I believe I showed strength in my knife skills, flipping skills (Frittas need to be flipped) and learning new a skill with the espresso machine (how to use it). I cut some items for my salad such as tomatoes and bocconcini. I practiced my flipping skills with my Fritta. I learned how to use the espresso machine in my house. The significance to all the dishes in my final meal, are all from my Italian culture. All the dishes I picked, were dishes that I grew up having in my family and some of them bring back memories to my Nanna and Nonno having meal time with them. It reflects who I am because I still to this day enjoy those meals and every season relates to a different meal.
