Brief History:

Mother’s View was a very small town founded in 1944 by founder Mikaras Athay. Every once a year the people of Mother’s View have a big festival to celebrate the day of their union. Due to the small amounts of people in the town, friends and neighbours were much more closer, like one big family.

Media Fluency Reflection

A. How was the ease of access in building the town, and what software did you use specifically?

During the process, I used a drawing app (ibisPaint X) on my tablet that I have been already using, so it was a familiar and easy building process.

B. Were you able to apply the skills you learned in the planning stages appropriately to a digital environment?

I took my time with planning a way to fit the discription of the town into my digital drawing. So, yes.

C. What were the sources you researched that made this an “authentic make-believe” town?

When I was sketching my town layout, I looked at varieties of different old town layouts and factories. Then I combined the designs I thought best fit the description.

D. Is there other software online that could have done the job better? Explain.

For the town I had in mind, I thought that drawing it myself would be the best and simplest choice because sometimes the little details I want to add can’t be done by other software.
