the interactions with the trenches and trench letters have been different, mainly sad and full of worry because not a lot of people actually know what it feels like to be in war and living in the trenches. this impacted my learning and understanding because i didn’t expect the war to be that bad , but soon after playing the simulation and not getting many choices in what could possibly happen to me and others. it gave me a clear reading of how one mistake could lead you into trouble or have you killed. my understanding of remembrance day and the contributions that the Canadian soldiers made, had me realize that not a lot of people had choices back then and that war should be taken more serious, not only celebrating remembrance day but how many lives were lost and put at risk that day.
