For this lab, I made apple pie for my family and I using my grandma’s recipe. I gave this recipe four stars because the flour we used wasn’t good for baking which made it hard to roll out the dough and put it in the pan without it cracking. However, the final product turned out perfect and it was very delicious. I had never made a pie before so it was interesting to see how it’s made and how bad pie really is for you. It took me two days because I started making the dough after dinner so I let it sit in the fridge overnight because the recipe said to let it sit in the fridge for two hours or more. I used twelve apples and cut them up into slices. A challenge I faced was putting the dough in the pan without it breaking as well as putting the rest of the dough overtop of the apples without it breaking. I was successful with the final product because the dough turned out perfectly and it was flakey as well. I would definitely make this again for my friends and my family.
