Shakshuka with Feta

My foods class in block 3 made shakshuka with feta in February’s last week. It was very flavorful and rich and spicy. I learnt how I could make tender eggs in a recipe easily. It was a really fun experience and the method was egg cookery and sauteing vegetables. The knife skills required for it were necessary because we had to mise en place various vegetables. I gave it a 5 star because its extremely healthy and flavorful at the same time.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Me and my entire Foods class made these delicious chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. We made this in the first week of coming back to school after the first semester ended. I learnt that that making cookies is probably the easiest thing we were gonna be cooking in this class. These were supposed to turn out golden brown and consisted of three methods, flour mixture, quick bread, drop cookie. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 because even though it has oatmeal, it isn’t that healthy and tastes a little bad.

Most Memorable Food Experience

Breakfast Sandwich

My most memorable food experience was when me and my dad made individual breakfast sandwiches at home. Me and my dad started with cutting the vegetables. Originally, my dad would not let me cut the veggies because he said I might hurt myself. I was about 8 at that time. As much as my dad did not want me to cut any vegetables, I wanted to do it so bad because it looked so fun. My dad thought about it for some time and finally let me cut some when I started bothering him. But just as I was cutting the last piece of a lady finger, I cut my finger and it started bleeding horribly. I cried so much that day. It was the first I cut vegetables so I mentally made a note to never work with knives again.
