About Me

My Favourite Quote

“If you are afraid to fail, then you are probably going to fail.”

-Kobe Bryant

This quote is meaningful to me because it lights a fire in me every time I hear or read it. It also helps me be confident in every situation in life that I go through and of course, through basketball. It keeps my mindset positive. This quote was said by Kobe Bryant.

My Favourite YouTube Clip

I chose this YouTube clip because I find it funny and entertaining to me. This video is my favourite video because my biggest hobby is basketball and I watch a lot of NBA on T.V. Aside from this video, I also watch other NBA impersonations from this guy.

A Picture That Has Impacted Me

I like this picture because it tells me that I can do anything that I set my mind to. It shows me that I can reach my goals as long as I work for it and never give up.

My Favourite Website

  • youtube.com
  • netflix.com

My favourite website is either youtube.com or netflix.com because when I am bored or have nothing to do, sometimes I just like to watch videos, movies, or shows. On youtube instead of just watching videos for entertainment I also like to find videos that will help me with a problem or maybe something for school.

The History of My Birthday

My Birthday: January 26

Event 1 On the date of January 26, 1788, 11 ships loaded with felons lead by Captain Arthur Phillip were headed to and found the colony of New South Wales which is now known as, Australia. The early years of arrangement were calamitous. Ignorant farmers, filled with insufficient soil, Captain Phillip had trouble keeping men alive, unaccustomed weather, it was horrific. Phillip proved to be a great leader and assigned felons to roles of duty and mistake. Before moving back to England in, Phillip said, “In a new country there will be no slavery and hence no slaves”. In 1792, Phillip returned to England and the colony thrived by the 19th century. With a new perception of loyalty, men started to celebrate every January 26 as Australia Day. Sooner or later in 1818, it became official that January 26 was a holiday.

Event 2 On the date of January 26, 1926, a Scottish inventor named John Logie Baird invented which he called a “televisor” and which we all know as a “T.V.” or “television”. The very first demonstration was in London. The televisor used mechanical alternating disks to scan shifting pictures into computerized movement. The first home television was determined in January 1928, New York. Regular television programs started in the USA in 1939, and broadcast with colour started in 1954.
