Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
This infographic shows what a digital footprint is and five different strategies you can use to help create a positive footprint. To create this infographic I used a program called Canva.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are I text my friends often and check up on them to see how they are doing. I also keep in contact with family members that don’t live nearby, and old friends that I don’t see anymore.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online present include being aware of who can see what I am posting, and I always think about what I am posting before I do. I also try not to share too much information about myself online and I keep all of my social media accounts private.
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences. Some positive consequences include getting a job, creating and maintaining relationships, or even getting accepted into college. Some negative consequences include not being able to get into college or get a job, because many companies and schools look into your online presence to see if they want to be involved with you. So, I adjust my actions to make sure that there is nothing that can negatively affect my life in the present or future.
