I used my knife skills when I was cutting the vegetables for my omelet. I used the pairing knife to cut my vegetables. I got to cut potatoes, peppers, onions, kales, and spinach. I also learned how to cut safely. I tucked in my fingers to prevent cutting my fingers. I learned how to dice my vegetables to the size that I was happy with. We use different knife cuts depending on what food were making. For example, if it is being cooked in a pressure cooker, you wouldn’t dice it cause if you do, it will be very mushy and overcooked. I believed that I did very well on this lab. I cut my vegetables evenly and to the size that I wanted it to be. I liked this lab a lot, it was more independent and I got to see what skills I have without anybody helping me. I was happy with my results at the end because my vegetables were cut beautifully.
