Media Fluency Reflection

How was the ease of access in building your flipbook, despite this being the free and limited version of the software?

I found at first it was difficult to use but after a while I started to understand how to use the program better. I do still find some things are difficult to use and that some things are very slow.

Were you able to apply the skills you learned in the planning stages appropriately to a digital environment?

I found that writing down the information I gathered on each person before hand set me up well for the writing part. I didn’t end up making a rough draft of my cards but I think writing down the information was enough to get me started.

What were the sources you researched that made this an “authentic make-believe” American Revolution flipbook?

I used many different sources for information on each person I researched.

Is there other software online that could have done the job better? Did you use another software instead? Explain.

I don’t think there was another site online that would have done a better job because I think the end result of Flipsnack was very nice. But I think desk top power point would be easier and might make the flip book a bit more interesting. Also if I where to do this again I might try to find another site instead of Flipsnack.

About Me

My Bio

Hi my name is Kaitlan

I’m a grade 9 centennial student, soccer player, and gymnast. Some words I would use to describe my personality are witty, realistic, and curious. Some important things you need to know about me are I enjoy listening to music and normally have head phones in. I also love watching movies and reading books, (Jules Verne is my favorite author). My best class is science and a class I need to work on is social studies. I learn best when I write things down and review them. I have difficulty trying to connect with others and opening up to others, but this is something I’m trying to get better at this year.

My Favorite Website

https://ww6.readblackclover.com/

https://www.youtube.com/

My two favorite website are YouTube and readblackclover.com, because these websites have things that entertain me. For example on YouTube I could look up video’s to make me laugh, or to help me in school, as well as to keep up with the new or watch short play by plays. Readblackclover.com is entertaining because I can read one of my favorite on going manga’s there, which could keep me reading for hours.(also it’s free to read.)

My Favorite Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi53_jiRIks

This video is a bunch of highlights of best goals and plays made by Dybala, it shows skills you need to play at that level as well as skills I can work towards at this point. It also shows the best of one of my favorite players to watch. (At 2:33 I hope to get a goal in soccer that way this year.)

My Favorite Image

This picture is meaningful to me because I had scored the first goal of the season, as well as the first time I felt completely comfortable on my team. This picture always reassures me it’s ok to celebrate after a goal because the team will be happy too. so don’t be afraid to be happy about scoring.

My Favorite Quote

Those who do not understand true pain can never understand true peace. ― Nagato Uzumaki

I chose this quote because it shows even if you’ve been through pain you can find peace in the end, as well as come to terms with yourself. This quote also show that people who have gone through rough patches can still understand happiness, even if it’s dark where they are now. Hence why I chose this quote.
