This essay helped me develop my writing skills, such as punctuation, spelling, and grammar. I feel that my paragraph structure has improved a lot in this essay. In this essay I’m very proud of my word chose, I found different words to add in to make what I’m saying more interesting. In this course I learned how to cited my work which is an important skill that I can use in the future.

I chose the poem “Not the Music” by Lorna Crozier. I chose this poem because it reached the 25 line requirement, I also liked the poem when I read it I could imagine myself reading it to the class, so I thought it was a good poem for me. With all the in class preparation we did what helped me the most was the tone mapping when i could understand the tone of the poem it help me to understand what I was reading in result helped me remember the poem. Outside of class I would read my poem out loud to my family. Writing the analysis about my poem helped me create a deeper level of understanding and find the real meaning of the poem. When I understood my poem it was easy to present cause I felt more prepared with the fact that I understood what I was reading.

I demonstrated communication while working on my second sewing project by asking questions when I needed assistance. I was making changes to my pattern so I would go consult my teacher, and we would work together to find a solution to whatever issue I was experiencing. I would help others at my table make creative decisions about their projects, I’ve assisted guests with measuring for their projects. After completing this project I stared on my final project.

I showed collaboration in this project. I worked with others to achieve a goal, I worked with my partner. We came up with an idea of what we should do and how we were going to make it look. Our goal was the finish the project and get a good grade on it.
The examples in the literature states that mooch is a caring and strong character. Mooch has been through a lot in his life and is still trying to be the best person he can to the people around him. To start off mooch is a solicitous person he shows his kindness when “he took Floyd out of the bar when he was drunk” this action showed how much mooch cares for his friend Floyd. As the play continues Mooch starts talking about his time at residential school, he doesn’t get into detail, but he says “he was abused sexually, mentally and psychically” this part of the play shows that mooch is a survivor, for all his has been through to still be kind to others and alive is a very big deal. Lastly Mooch is a fighter, near the end of the play we learned that “Anna killed herself by jumping off a bridge and Mooch saw her do it” this is an extremely hard thing to witness along with all the other traumatizing experiences mooch has gone through in his life. After everything he has gone through being alive and spending time with his friend, making jokes is in a way a miracle. Altogether mooch is an incredibly strong character who puts up a fight every day.
When doing the project i demonstrated collaboration, communication, and creative thinking. I showed communication by working with others to achieve a goal, we talked about what we should do to come up with a research question. I showed collaboration by working together to create all aspects of our project. I showed creative thinking by coming up with the topic our questions was based on, I had to think of a new idea that would work for our project.
I used creative thinking well doing this by coming up with a way I can show my family tree on a piece of paper, I had to think of a way to fit my whole family on one page so I decided to just do my moms side of the family. I wanted to make it look clean so it was easy to follow and read, so I went with a classic family tree to achieve that look. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out since I didn’t have much time to finish it.
What was something you learned that you didn’t know or consider before?
I learned that you have to ask the person if they wanted you to give then CPR, I thought you could just do it without asking. i also learned how to use a AED, I learned where you are suppose put it and how it works. another thing I learned was when someone has a stroke sometimes you have to give them CPR.
What is a key takeaway from the Theory or Practical CPR unit?
I think the main takeaway is the skills I learned and how I can use what I learned to safe someones life.
How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously
Your diet could cause a heart attack, the nutrition unit told us how we can have a healthier life style which would prevent a heart attack. it also told us which food could cause a heart attack like sugar, salt and fat.

this is a goal of them because sometimes if I don’t get something the first few times I will give up which I don’t want to do anymore.
Collaborating through the Unknown Acids and Bases Lab
My artifact: this is a picture of the acids and bases lab.
My partner and I collaborated on this, we had a plan for one person to put the acids in and the other to put the bases in, this worked well because we didn’t get anything mixed up. we talked throughout the lab on what colours we thought each one was. when we were cleaning up we spilt up the jobs to get it done faster, and so it was fair. in this lab I learned how to stay safe in the super lab and around the acids.
