Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
I used Canva to create this poster. These are the sites I used.
Having a positive digital footprint | Parent Info
When I googled myself I found nothing which is really good, I only saw my school email but only people from SD43 can see it. All my social media accounts are private, I don’t really post on the accounts so I wouldn’t mind if my parents, teachers and employers saw them.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including not being able to get a job, or someone finding my address, so I adjust my actions to make sure my social media accounts are private, and no personal information is public.
Some short/ long term goals with my digital spaces include being more efficient with technology and my plan to achieve them is to ask people who are more tech-savvy than me, for example, my peers or teachers. I can also search on the internet, to help with my technology skills.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include, keeping all my social media accounts private, not sharing too much personal information, and being aware of who I’m talking to online, as well as who can see my accounts.
