Automotive 12 Weather Chain Job

January
4

We were tasked with practicing how to put tire chains on cars if we ever had to do it in the real world. A group of us chose to use the 1998 black Honda Civic that was parked outside of the auto shop. The cars battery was dead so we decided to put one guy inside to control the brakes and the rest of us would just push the car onto the chains. successful, we tightened the chains up and made sure our teacher gave us the OK. After that we had to repeat the process to unhooking and loosening the tire chains we had to manually push the car back off them and redo the process a few times to get the hang of it.

Ethical Judgment

When I first started working on this assignment I had to gain an understanding on how their country functioned compared to ours. many things that we take for granted here are seen as luxuries in many eyes. Sometimes you have to realize how different your life would be if you lived in a different country. I then researched on what things made their country poor and I came to a more unique conclusion compared to other peoples. The country of Chad has a worse impact because of the results of human conflicts and failure to find resolutions rather than climate issues.

Photography 12 Core Competencies

I can work well with taking on different roles and tasks while working in a group to help us achieve the best results possible.

One project that I had the most fun with was the silhouette photography photos we made from cardboard. The ideas we had were unlimited, so we chose to make a sinking cruise ship with a giant shark lurking nearby to tell a story of the treacherous waters and what is in them. During the creation of this we did multiple different things with it and had varying results. At the end we chose to use the one that was held up in the sky with the shark fin in front of the boat, and we decided to make some changes to make the image look less choppy and fuzzed.

Tin Hat Mountain 5 Day Hike!

June
13

This trip I was both dreading and excited for as five days of hiking and camping through the mountains was going to be something I had never experienced before. I knew from the beginning that this was gonna mentally and physically take its toll on me but I tried to not let that bother me at all. For the first two days I felt regulated although a little bit tired from the hike up the mountain. the third day was probably my least favourite day of the whole trip as we did no hiking or anything as we stayed up at the hut. I gained a feeling of isolation from being up there with nothing to do, but later the seven of us piled ourselves into the bottom crawl space area under the hut and had some good conversations and a pretty cool sleeping arrangement where my sleeping bag was set up on the countertop. If I had to choose what was the greatest part of the trip it was sleeping in the crawl space. My hiking pack was commented on being small compared to everyone else but it did it’s job and was able to hold everything including a tent on the outside, however one thing I would pack next time would be a larger rain cover and more dry bags.

ES Trip to Buntzen Lake

The creator gave everyone a unique purpose in life, everyone goes their own way and creates their own life. nothing is given to you, you have to take it and make something out of it. you can to make anything out of nothing if you try.

I chose my gift because it was a part o a tree, not too small or big. but it was a part of something much bigger, without that piece the tree lives differently.
