Technology can be a coping mechanism and a cause of stress for me. For me, I’ve dealt with stress because of the pandemic, school, and other issues. Technology helped me get through these. Talking with my friends and family, scrolling through social media, or playing games made me forget about my worries. This year, I used technology more than usual, and with that, I’ve had a lot of positive experiences on the internet that I’m really grateful for. Technology also caused some stress for me. Sometimes I would see discouraging posts on social media and in the news. Relying on technology during the pandemic burnt me out and affected my mental health. Taking breaks helped me handle the stress.
