Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
This Infographic includes what a digital footprint is, how to have a positive digital footprint and how to keep your digital footprint safe. I used a program called Canva because it is very easy to use and it made it easy to choose the layout and pictures.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Before I did this assignment, I did not know what a digital footprint was, I now know that anyone could search me up and find out stuff about me. I would be ok with anyone I know seeing the stuff I post. I am active online but not too often that I’m oversharing certain aspects of my life When I search up my name the only thing that comes up is my Instagram account and a newspaper article I was in, the article also said my full name my sister’s name, and my elementary school. I make digital ethical choices such as keeping all my accounts private in order to only let people I know follow me so people I don’t know can’t see all my pictures or any of my personal information. I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including affecting what my future employer or future school will see if they search up my name so I adjust my actions to making sure what I post online is appropriate and is what I would be comfortable with anyone I know seeing. I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as following the people I follow influenced my choice of course/hobbies/ teams because if I hadn’t seen the girls playing on my soccer team on their Instagram account, I would have never joined Port Moody Soccer Club. Your digital footprint can have a big effect on your life so make sure you think before you post or say anything that might hurt someone.
