For this project, my partners and I chose the movie Aladdin. I was able to be collaborative during this project with my partners, I communicated well and I asked questions when I needed clarification. We shared ideas with each other and helped each other with translating words and researching our movie. Writing the summary and character descriptions both required me to think creatively. I had to think about how to describe the characters and then translate all of them, as well as summarize the movie and figure out words I didn’t know.
In unit 5 we learned about pixels and colours. The most challenging assignment for me was the Image filter, I decided to do the blur to challenge myself and after a week or 2 I finally got it to work I had to take all the pixels, average them out and then make the surrounding pixels the average colour. I can ask open ended questions and gather information. I asked my peers for help on certain portions that I didn’t understand and they would point me in the right direction. I can experiment with different ways of doing things, I tried 2 or 3 different ways to do this and this is the one I understood the best and knew that it would work. I use my experiences with various steps and attempts to direct my future work. This assignment helped me overcome other challenges I had in other assignments. I enjoyed doing this assignment because while it did push me it was so fun to finally have if finished
Some things I think about before dividing tasks among group members include who could do which tasks the best and most efficient My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include asking questions and reading the notes

I can take on roles and responsibilities in a group; I do my share: Kirsten and I would take turns cutting the pig and drying up the pig juices, we split the roles and responsibilities between the two of us and made sure that everything was done in an efficient and orderly fashion.

I can participate in classroom or group activities that improve the class, school, or community: We got the chance to experience this amazing learning opportunity which let us learn about the parts of the digestive system and actually having a physical representation we could examine, which I participated in and I felt that it gave the class a better understanding of the unit therefore improving the class
Thinking
I can give, receive and act on feedback to progress in my goals: While working on this dissection I would ask questions and learn from mistakes I made to make sure that it was done correctly the next time whether that was how deep to cut or which way you should cut it to make sure it doesn’t squirt intestinal juices on you.
I know when I need to take breaks from working or when I need to rest. I also know when I need to take more time to do things that make me happy. When things get busy, I can step back and talk about things with my friends, play soccer, or get some sleep. By doing these things I can get back to doing what I need to do.
I am planning to improve my communication skills. I find it difficult to ask questions in class due to the fear of being wrong or judged. I will get over this challenge by getting myself involved in more activities that require me to be social such as peer tutoring and leadership.
I am going to manage my time better. I sometimes find it difficult to get myself to start the assignments and procrastinate. I am going to try to find the motivation to study by asking friends to study together. That way, we will be able to help each other stay on task.
Critical and Reflective Thinking In this assignment, I showed that I could act on feedback while trying to complete it. It showed my perseverance and how I learned to show all my work. I came in for tutorial and asked questions and made sure I fully understood the assignment. I would work on how I went about answering the questions last time, I would improve how I layed it out and make sure I have all my calculations added.

Explanation / Brief History: Riverside was first populated in 1722 when they discovered the rivers as easy access to move supplies. The soil was good for growing crops, so they have a steady food supply. People are mostly farmers

How was the ease of access in building the town, and what software did you use specifically?
I used roll for fantasy, it was very easy to use. I did have a little bit of trouble with the overlapping of the bricks, but it worked out in the end

Yes, I was I planned everything out first then I added it in I made sure that everything had a place
What were the sources you researched that made this an “authentic make-believe” town?
Ms. Mattson showed us pictures of what these towns usually looked like so I went back and looked at how they were laid out and built
Is there other software online that could have done the job better? Explain.
There probably is, it was a little tricky when I was trying to place/delete blocks and line everything up especially with rotating the blocks as it would not load properly on my laptop.

Spotify is my favorite website because it lets you listen to all these different songs and podcasts. Whether it’s listening to music while taking my dog for a walk, or listening to a podcast while I fall asleep, it always helps me relax and makes me happy. It’s easy to use and you can listen to any song.

This is a link to a guy hitting a bird while on a roller coaster. I love this video because at first, he doesn’t know what happened, the bird hit him in the face and then went onto his neck, he felt down to his neck then felt the bird looked down and the bird attempted to fly away and ended up hitting his friend on the shoulder. Whenever I’m sad then I watch this video and I always smile and laugh it shows that even though he got hit by a bird it was still a good time.

Sunshine Coast 2020
This is a picture I took earlier this year at the sunshine coast. I went down to the water to watch the sunset, and since the clouds were in a weird pattern it made the picture look really cool while the sun was setting. You can see the reflection of the sun and a few of the islands in the water.
