My 2022/2023 Year
Something that has gone well for me during this year was meeting a lot of new people. During semester one, I was able to become friends with so many new people as I was thrown into classes where I didn’t know anybody. This led me to introduce myself to new people, allowing me to befriend them and expand my social circle. It was great meeting so many people as before, I mainly had my main friend group whereas now I am friends with people I never thought I would have been friends with before. Moreover, I feel as if I am able to socialize better and become more comfortable in my school. Another thing that went well this year was getting a job. I had been looking for a job for a while and in October, I was called in for an interview where I thankfully got hired as a seasonal worker. Later in December, the workplace had decided to keep me for the position. This was a major achievement as it helped me to become more independent with my money and learn how to budget it. Additionally, having a job kept me busier and more responsible, teaching me valuable skills such as communication and multitasking. One last thing that went well was my leadership project, HACC. My group was able to raise over $600 that will be donated towards the Canadian Cancer Society. We have also spread awareness towards cancer and healthcare, so being able to make a small difference has really been an achievement.
