About Me

My Bio

Hi! My name is Marisa.

Three words that can be used to describe me are kind, determined and creative. I’m a visual learner so I learn best by seeing an example of what needs to be done. I think this is why I’m so drawn to art, which is one of my favourite subjects. My biggest strength is that I’m organized and something I’d like to improve on is not being afraid to try new things. When I have some free time I like to paint, bullet journal and run. Right now, the TV shows I’ve been watching most are Family Guy, The Office and Total Drama Island. My focus for grade nine is to meet new people and have fun.

My Favourite Website

https://www.buzzfeed.com/quizzes

I use this website for taking entertaining quizzes when I’m bored and have nothing to do. Some examples of the types of quizzes are: “Wanna Know Which Vegetable Matches Your Personality Best” and “Take This Spooky Quiz To Reveal What Type of Ghost You’d Be.” It’s also very fun to take quizzes with friends and compare answers.

My Favourite Video

Secluded Bridge by Bob Ross

This is a link to one of Bob Ross’s painting videos on YouTube. I chose this video because one of my goals I would like to achieve this year is to recreate this painting to the best of my ability. Watching this makes me feel inspired and it motivates me to get up and put myself to work, not to mention it is an extremely calming and relaxing video.

My Favourite Image

My dog Kona when she was a puppy.

This image of our dog, Kona, is very meaningful to me because this photo was taken shortly after we brought her home, about eight years ago. We had lost our previous dog the year before so this was a very exciting time for my family. I love to look at this picture because she was so tiny compared to how big she is now. She was a very rambunctious and disruptive puppy, but has grown into a very calm and loving dog. I couldn’t imagine not having her with us throughout these past years.

My Favourite Quote

There are so many great things in life; why dwell on negativity?

Zendaya

This quote is important to me because I need to listen to it myself. Instead of always looking at what could go wrong or what I dislike about something, I should think about the good things that can come out of difficult situations.
