Creating and Communicating

My artifact is an in class writing about The Simpsons. I learned abut irony, satire and alluison in class and saw more of it applied in The Simpsons. . I was able to use the infromation we’ve been taught about writing an essay. I underlined the title, added a thesis statement, avoided using unessecary words and created a conclusion. I made a draft filled with my ideas and constructed a proper paragraph.

Core Compentencies

I can contribute to and work with criteria to improve my own work; evidence of that is…

My work written on paper shows a prime example of me taking the criteria into perspective and morphing it into my writing to improve my communication.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is…

During class, Alana, Alex and I discussed the theories upon the storyline of The Simpsons. I incorporated the ideas we talked about into my writing, e.g about the stereotypical jokes about dysfunctional american households that are included in the show.

I seek, develop and weigh options as demonstrated by…

I develop and weigh my options by making sacrifices and comparing everything with another thing. I make sure when I am writing that my work in unique and has attention to detail. I try to engage with all the possible conclusions before choosing which one I want to use.
