My Most Challenging Food Lab

My most challenging food lab was my veggie pot pie because it was challenging to make the dough and make it the perfect shape for the jar lid and making the sauce was also hard because it was hard to tell when it was done or when it needed more time. I also found cutting the veggies were pretty difficult I had a lot of big carrots and little potato’s with different sized onions. The veggie pot pie was this cut up veggies like carrots potato’s onions pees and corn cooked all with a creamy sauce in a mason jar with a lid of a flakey biscuit. I chose this as my most challenging food lab because every lab that we made so far was not very difficult but this one was the most difficult out of all them because there was a lot of different moving parts that you had to time perfectly all at once. Even though it was the most difficult to make it still met the product standards, which was the sauce being creamy flavorful and the biscuit flakey but the veggies where not bite sized which was the only issue. The challenges I had to overcome was the timing but I over came that issue by communicating with my table group to get good timing to put all the pieces together. I think that the success that I made in this lab was the biscuit because it was cooked really well and it tasted really good.
