Should our criminal justice system be more punitive or rehabilitative? Why?

I think that the criminal justice and legal systems in Canada should continue to place more emphasis on the behaviours of individuals who commit crimes as well as the rehabilitation component of those crimes. Prioritizing and concentrating on changing behaviours as well as keeping a close eye out for typical criminal behaviour signs and evaluating it inside our criminal justice system. There are undoubtedly exceptions based on particular and significantly more violent circumstances, such as murder cases. However, for those who have committed lower level crimes, I believe they should be given a chance to demonstrate that they understand the repercussions of their actions and receive sentences that correspond with that, rather than an harsh prison time.

I can analyze evidence to make judgments.

Even though I like to concentrate on rehabilitation, I can still understand other people’s viewpoints. I’m aware of the suffering caused to the victims’ family when retribution is not imposed with force. which make them feel like justice haven’t been served.

One topic that i understood in math is Financial Mathematics investing and borrowing money I understood it well.

I would like to learn more about borrowing money and the types of credits.

I learned a lot in this unit and how I can use this information in the future.

I study the notes that my math teacher gave me and i ask my math teacher/friends for help on the things i didn’t understand and the notes are very helpful for me. The review assignment is very useful because it tells me what i have to go back and learn again.

An example of something i have spent a lot of time learning about is law and math. Ive been studying and trying to understand both them this semester because I want a good grade for both of these classes. Ive been listening to the lectures and asking my teacher for help and i feel like this helps me a lot because I used to not be able to ask my teaches for help.  

I appreciate feedback on my homework and Peter it comes in a form of teaches writing the little notes for me to understand what i need to do to make my assignments better. I like when i get feedbacks on my assignments because these help me make my future assignments even better and get a good grades that will make me feel better.

Some ways that i like to show that I’m learning is note taking, notes are very helpful for me and when I’m writing it because I can write down things we learned in class and use it to study a test or it an help me for an assignment if I can’t reach a teacher. Notes are very easy to make people tend to just put it in their binder or throw it but it can be very help for for you to be successful in class.

I have learned many things on March 1st 2022 and it was amazing to have a guest speaker to tell us more about our land. First i didn’t know that the plants that are growing near our school can be so important to us. The guest speaker told us the history of Douglas Fur by telling us in a story telling way. We can also tell which plant can be medicine, food, and technology. I found that this can be useful in life if something horrible has happened then this can be a great way for survival. I got to see my classmate eat a plant called land cress which has a pepper taste many people where stunned about eating a plant that hasn’t been washed and some were alright with it, both sides had their own opinion on the land cress. My favourite plant that i learned is the Salmonberry the name is very unique and they way learned about it is fascinating because Salmonberry can tell when salmon would come which i really like. This journal has to be my favourite because i got to learned many things which I’m happy for.
