Textiles Art and Crafts Core Competency Self-Assessment

I can ask open-ended questions to gather information. I asked a lot of questions when I made my origami rose box because some of the steps were really confusing and didn’t make any sense, I asked my teacher for some helped and she helped me. She told me to also do practice first before and it helped me a lot. I also made sure to get all the steps right so I wouldn’t have to redo it. It turned out pretty good. I can also expand on other people’s ideas. Other people give me suggestions for how to put my project together when I can’t figure out how to accomplish a step like for example making the petals curled up more so it would look like a rose more and it worked. Communicating helped me a lot because I would be stuck on steps if I didn’t ask anyone.

English 11 poetry reflection

Curricular Competencies Reflection

My third poetry cluster is about my favourite fruit. The purpose of my poem is showing how I love pineapples. I grew up eating pineapples. I wrote this poem for Ms.Khokhar in mind because she has assigned this to us. I chose pineapple because it’s one of my favourite fruit to eat in the summer time. When we were assigned to do this, i had a pineapple in my kitchen and when I was eating it I observe my pineapple. It took me some time to make my poem about pineapple. I use imagery when i said You wear a crown referring to the pineapple head looking like a crown.

Creative Core Competency Reflection

I chose this topic because pineapple are my favourite fruit. Pineapple are healthy and good for you. describing a pineapple is easy for a person who has an obsession with them. I develop my own ideas of the poem, started with how the it looks and how it taste. I wanted my poem short and simple for my audience. The challenge i had to face with my poem was how I wasn’t going to start it. I wanted my poem to make sense so I just started on how it looks and so on. I would like to improve on adding more poetic devices in my poem.
