Cheek Cell Lab

10x lens
40x lens

We did a cheek cell lab in science the other day, and so here’s Filip’s cheek cell! First we added methylene blue to a slide. Then we took a toothpick and scraped the inside of our cheek. After that we put a cover slide that squished the cells and dye out and finally put it under the microscope.

The first photograph is of the 10x lens. The second photograph is of the 40x lens.

I found it interesting looking at cells under the slide like this. I think this lab put what we learnt earlier in the semester into use.
