Cooking At Home #3

The new tool that I have decided to try out was a garlic press, whenever a recipe calls for minced or chopped garlic I would always just use a knife. While I was using the tool no safety concerns came up for me. The way I used the garlic press was I peeled the clove and put it inside the device to crush. If you don’t have this in your home using a knife is the other option that does the job just as good. The dish I have made was homemade tortilla chips with guacamole. The tortilla only had 4 ingredients which are 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup water and 3 tbsp olive oil. I Did want to turn them in to chips so I have under cooked them then used the oven to make them crisp up. Then for the guacamole I didn’t have a recipe and I used 2 avocados, half a lemon, 2 garlic cove, 1/4 an onion and a pinch of salt and pepper. I don’t think I would change the recipe but for some people they might find the garlic or onion to be a bit strong. When I was making the dish I didn’t come a cross any problem. It went very smooth and the end product was what I imaged it to taste like. I am proud that I have decided to try out this new tool and also tried to make both the chips and guacamole at home.
