My Grade 9 Year

Although my grade 9 year has been tough for me, I was still successful with learning new things. I gained knowledge and learned new skills in the subjects like, welding and science. There are many things that I am proud that helped make a tough year a bit brighter.

Feel Proud

I am especially proud the copper rose I made in the welding class. It was fun learning how to use the tools to cut out the pieces that eventually turned into a beautiful rose.

Some Favourites
My favourite class of this year is Metal workshop because I learned welding. I learned welding from Mr Kent, he is a great teacher and explains welding in a way that is easy to understand. He taught me how to weld carefully and gave the class interesting and fun projects to work on.

Words to Describe my Year

Some words that described my year are Challenging, Focus, Creative, and Unpredictable. The work load was challenging but with support from my many teachers and parents I found it manageable. It was difficult for me to focus in some of my classes because most of the time there was a lot going on around me and it made it difficult to hear the teacher. The metal workshop class was creative for me because I got to design my own projects. School can be unpredictable and even surprising at times with last minute quizzes and tests.

Improvements
This year I enjoyed PE because I improved my badminton skills. I started playing badminton in elementary school but then gave it up for a few years. Then took it in PE and regained what I forgot and strengthen what I needed to. This was a rewarding feeling.
