Math Self Assignment

I prepare for a test by reviewing the previous material and looking it over I would say that this isn’t really working for me due to my lack of understanding and that I don’t study constantly weekly there is some changes I can think of such as completing my homework first before anything else, making sure I do all the homework and A bit extra to make sure I understand everything and last to study at least 2 weeks before a test every night for at least 30 minutes to a hour

I would say that my strength in group work would have to be my ability to listen

Explain the concept (if I also understand it ) i use this to contribute by explaining it in simple and easy terms for my group mates and also listening out for what they have to share with me .

For me I think that being disciplined in math means to be willing to go out of your way to ask for help if you need it or helping others out when they are struggling, it also means that you understand the work given to you and do all the work when you get it. I think you would show that you are disciplined in math by being able to understand the material and doing questions on your own time to better yourself for future lessons so that you are prepared.

Science 10 Core Competency Self-Assessment

Social Awareness and Responsibility

Paragraph

I can take on roles and responsibilities in a group; I do my share. The way i can connect this to the core competency i have chosen is that during the chemical reaction’s lab, we had a short amount of time to do a lot of different reactions so to make it go faster me and my partner each had roles to make sure we can get all our information. I was in charge of putting in the different chemicals and checking how acidic or how basic it is while my partner wrote down all the information and told me what we needed to put next and with us splitting the roles like this we almost finished the whole lab in the one class.

CPR Reflection

a) What was something you learned that you didn’t know or consider before?

Something I learned was how being able to take action when its needed is very important and could help to save someone’s life and all i need to remember is that (I’ve been trained i can do this)

b) What is a key takeaway from the Theory or Practical CPR unit

For me it would be the denial or fear someone might feel when they could be a potential victim of a heart attack or stroke which is bad since if you are hiding it i can be trouble later on if other people don’t know or you don’t talk to a doctor about it.

c) How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously?

It connects since the nutrition unit showed us what to eat to have a higher chance of avoiding a heart attack or stroke with good food sources and proper diets along with exercise.

Core Competency Reflection

For the Core competency reflection i chose 3 that highlight me the most

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try to be as open and friendly as possible so that we can work together to complete the common goal or task that we have to do.

I can describe how learning about CPR relates to my life, it relates to my life since my grandpa has a history of having heart attacks and in the case that he needs help i can be there to help him and hopefully save his life thanks to this lesson we did on CPR.

One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is to pass it onto future generations of family i know so that they can learn to save someone’s life if they need it or to physically save someone when they are having a heart attack.
