My Social Studies Innovation

My Innovation

The steamboat was an absolutely crucial invention during the industrial revolution. The first inventor of the steamboat was Robert Fulton. His creation had the size of 150 feet and travelled at a speed of 5 miles per hour. It’s first journey was 150 miles from New York to Albany.

My innovation was extremely important to the new world. The steamboat was important in that it travelled more efficiently then rowing or sailing because it required much less manpower and could run until it ran out of gas. Many renditions of the steamboat were created afterwards and then turned into the gasoline and diesel boats of today. This made trade much more efficient and helped England in expanding thier colonies.
