CPR Reflection:

Something I learned during the CPR unit was the amount of CPR compressions you are supposed to give per minute without mouth to mouth resuscitation as well as how to properly and safely use an AED. The main take away and purpose of this unit was to learn how to save someones life and be able to preform CPR if you are ever put in a situation where CPR is needed. The CPR unit connects to the health unit that we were taught in PE 10 in the sense that eating heathy can reduce chances of having heart problems from being obese or not having the right nutrience for your body operate properly.

Core Competency Reflection:

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I am able to and am working on connecting and starting friendships with new people. I demonstrated this by working in a group with new people while my other friends were absent and made conversations with them to help grow a friendship or connection.
When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I usually stay by myself for a bit and put in my headphones with some low volume music so I can still hear the lesson and learn what is needed in class. I have demonstrated this every single day this year by keeping my headphones in to help me stay focused and retain more from lessons than I would without music.
One of the ways I can see myself using this learning to help others is when I learn to become a lifeguard later on in life. I would be able to use my ability of knowing how to preform CPR if there was ever a case of someone drowning and needed CPR once pulled out from under the water or any other senarios.
