Metalwork Assignment

When in art metal and jewelry 12, I demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills when working on both my flower vase and wall art. I demonstrated creative thinking skills when I worked on my rough drafts for the flower vase and when working on multiple ideas for my wall art. I exhibited critical thinking skills when I was forced to repeat the process of tracing and cutting my petals after not being able to find them in my drawer multiple times. I asked for help from my teacher and he helped me be on track to stay motivated and finish my flower before falling behind. When starting on my vase, I took inspiration from the previous projects that are displayed above the whiteboard but did my own planning with some help from Mr. Peterson. I ran into struggles such as not knowing where to start but looked back at my previous years of metal and used my understanding of how I’ve bent metal in the past, which benefitted me and my progression of my vase. I was successful with both projects, feeling proud of myself and my work. Some thing I would have done differently are making my coffin look more run down since people (COUGHH) didnt to understand what I was trying to do with some of the gaps and hole. I’m overall really proud of my projects and excited to put them in my room.

Brain Disorder Story Assignment Reflection

My partner Keira and I did BPD for our disorder, in our storybook for psych 12. I demonstrated my ability to create new ideas and build off of my partners ideas and questions. When we were creating the story, we brainstormed ideas about names, genders, how things were going to play out and how our main character is going to overcome these obstacles. I found it easy to be in a group with Keira because she was respectful to my ideas and questions. I took the role of doing the editing of the story and illustrating the story.
