Curricular Competencies Reflection

Core competency reflection

My main learning in this assignment was how to analyze my own thinking from music into words and writing about how these particular sound tracks make me feel or remember certain situations.

I leaned a lot ob out myself and what typ of music makes me feel what way, for example, English music calms me down and brings me in a specific mood, on the other hand German music often remembers me of times with friends in Germany.

My favorite part of the assignment was how certain tunes affect me and my surroundings. I enjoyed this assignment because I was asked a different kinde of question about my self and my identity.

A basketball player bought a NBA jersey. After one year it was put on sale for 75$. The seller decided to but the jersey on sale for 50 dollars after 2 years.

1. Determine the original purchase price of the Jersey.

2. Write the depreciation equation when the jersey decreases in value over time.

a) (50 -75): (2-1)= 15$/year

the ”x” is the price the jersey decreases over the years which is defined by ”t”

I Chose the Boston Celtics jersey because it means a lot to me i was gifted to be by my dad while he was visiting. Everyday I encounter basketball, because I love playing and watching it. The picture above was taken by me in my room.

I got my information from NBA.SHOP.com and eBay. First I looked at a starting price for a average jersey, after I searched for used prices, which led me to my numbers I used in the questions. I made sure my question were corrected by asking my classmates and other students.

A couple weeks ago Mr.Kent introduced to welding, that includes safty test, the proper equipments/tools to use and finally how to use the weld. Mr Kent told us to ”play around”, so to get to know the weld and using the weld in different settings. For example turning the voltage up and the wire speed down. In the beginning I had trouble finding the proper settings for me, but after testing the different welds I found the right one.

Our project was to build 2 exactly the same dices. One of the steps was to weld every side of the dice together. My final dices turned out good, but I would like to have done another cover on the edges of the dice. In the end result you can see welding spots.

Why was Canada’s war declaration on Nazi Germany (on September 10th 1939) important?

Since World War I 1 Canada was its own country. This meant it also had to represent itself as a own country for example taking actions against a state of Germany which is killing and conquering a big part of central Europe. Canada also what’s to be recognized as a powerful country, maybe declaring war wants the biggest threat to Germany, but it send a message to the Wold that Canada can handle its own.
