
During the flame lab experiment, I showcased a blend of my thinking, personal, and communicative competencies. I illustrated my analytical thinking in carefully inspecting the lab setup, recognizing the distinct flame colors produced by each metal. Recognizing that the variance in flame hues stemmed from the metals rather than non-metals highlighted my critical thinking abilities. My communication skills were seen whenever I encountered challenges with lab inquiries. Engaging with peers nearby, I actively sought their perspectives and problem-solving approaches. Moreover, I encouraged effective dialogue within my lab group, exchanging ideas and addressing questions collaboratively. Additionally, I dedicated personal moments by myself to inspect and reflect the lab questions, demonstrating a mix of personal reflection and social engagement. Demonstrating personal accountability, I ensured preparedness by obtaining all necessary supplies beforehand. Despite encountering setbacks, such as realizing the uncleanliness of my Bunsen burner mid-experiment, leading to inaccurate observations, I remained resilient. Correcting the issue and persisting in my efforts highlighted my commitment to achieving accurate results. Ultimately, this lab experience proved both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable. It not only increased my personal and communicative proficiencies but also encouraged growth in thinking. Overall, this lab was deemed as not only educational, but highly interesting and enjoyable to me as well.
