We were assigned the paper box project and I immediately knew I wanted to do a small, hinge top box but that was too simple, and would take me 20 minutes from start to finish. A jack in the box came to mind and it seemed lie the perfect mix of deceptively simple and excruciatingly difficult. So naturally, I took the most difficult way to put it together. I’m pretty sure I developed carpel tunnel over the course of the 2 weeks it took me to make it.i wanted to put my own spin on it so I combined the box with the Halloween free project we were assigned. 1. To lighten my workload and 2. To justify the morbid things i was about to load this box with. So between layering, and edging my layers with black for depth, it was quite labour intensive. But the detail I took with it really made it stand out.

Textiles arts and crafts core competency assignment
With the paper box assignment, I demonstrated social awareness and responsibility. i have struggled with time management and choosing projects too big for the time allotted in class. this project was one I was very excited about and I feel best demonstrates my abilities and accurately reflects the amount of time I spent on it.
Buntzen Lake object path
I chose a piece of wood that was so rotted, it crumbled in my hands. Ants had once made their home in it but have moved on. I had to part the moss growing on it just to take a piece. The bright green of the moss on the decay was what drew me in. I didn’t have to look at it long before I knew why I was drawn in.
Death is not permanent, and from it comes a new life. Just because someone or something is gone, does not mean that all they leave is pain, loss and rot. New life will take root where they once were and their life, their memories and their presence will nourish the soil and stand where only rot once was. It made my heart ache because it was what I needed to see that day. I needed to know, I needed to see. Knowing that even nature loses and regains, that it is part of us in every way, just as it is part of Mother Earth.
What’s the word around town?- 100 mile house
- A lake: benefits ranchers who live around it
B) Large wide open spaces: good for building houses and other buildings without having to do too much logging - Flat ground:good for building and settling
B) large forests: good for foresting and logging - Large thick forests: good for logging businesses
B) low brush vegetation: good for grazing animals which makes for good hunting - A hay farm: because of the ranching and farming, a hay farm would be very beneficial
B) machinery repair store: there is a lot of ATV, side by side and dirt-bike shops, so there will need to be repairs and customizations made.
C) Walmart: there aren’t many general stores in town, so having a “store that has it all” would be very beneficial
Reflection
- I was able to identify the geographical impacts to the town rather easily
- I was able to imagine 25 years into the future and see what would benifit the town
- I am satisfied, i like how it turned out, especially since I’ve never used a map website before
- Probably get a little further into the website, it was my first time using maphub so I had my prejudices on how this would go over

My tribute costume
My tribute costume would be something sleek, dangerous looking. I want it to look like I could jump up from my seat and kill every single one of the other tributes if I felt like it. My mask symbolizes dominance, power, drive, bravery and energy. My ring, representing my craft, has a pentacle and a pair of moonstones. A stone for “new beginnings”, inner growth and strength. Soothes emotional instability and stress, and provides calmness and promotes success. My gauntlet? It’s as sharp as it looks. If you don’t know me, I look unapproachable. If you do, you know I’m not someone you want to annoy. It takes a fair bit to annoy me though. I want my tribute costume to represent that.
Reflection:
A.I didn’t use a character generator like most people did, I knew what I wanted right out the gate with this project and I knew I wouldn’t get it with the generator.
B. i already knew what I was going to to because the thought had already crossed my mind “what if it were me?” So I already had some ideas compiling in my head.
C. it turned out the way I wanted it to, it looks dangerous and a good representation of me
D. I’m not sure, because I really don’t have any complaints with this.
E. Nothing I didn’t know when I started this project.
My favourite YouTube video
This is my favourite YouTube video. I truly love memes. And to me, there’s no greater meme than the meme that made us all laugh and took tiktok by storm, prompting many drawings. Paintings, varied merchandise, etc.
Favourite picture
This is by far, my favourite picture I’ve saved on my camera roll. It explains the different classes of scp’s. I can’t remember where I found it. I think a friend sent it to me.
Favourite website
The useless web. I could sit there on the useless web for hours on end. The amount of obscure and *𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬* websites you never would have found otherwise, is amazingly hilarious and I love it to death.

Wordcloud
This is my wordtree. If my personality seeped into the soil, this is what would grow from it. There are a lot of things here, but what you can summarize from it is: I’m a huge geek and I would take a bullet for my books and softball gear.
