Burrito

This lab was a twist on a regular burrito. Instead of adding the typical beef or chicken we used porchetta that Ms. Bolli had brought in for us. This was a mise en place method, which meant we prepped all our ingredients before cooking them. In my burrito I included beans, corn, zucchini, tomatoes and onions. I prepped and sauteed all my veggies and cooked them in a few different spices like cumin, coriander and chili powder. The porchetta was already pre-cooked, so we just had to heat it up again in the pan. I made a guacamole to put in my burrito and sprinkled cheddar and feta on the top.

I gave myself a 5 on this lab because my burrito turned out excellent. All the flavors and spices were accurate and it tasted very good. Even though we used a different kind of meat the usual, it didn’t make much difference it stilled tasted very good. I would definitely make this again because it wasn’t very difficult and tasted great.
