I can work with others to achieve a goal. I was able to work with my partner well so that we split the work evenly and able to complete the lab properly. When it came to the dissection part of the lab if I cut one part of the pig my partner would cut another part so that in the end we would have the same amount of cutting time. When it came time to be able to name the parts of the body, my partner and I came up with ways to help each other remember the parts so that when we got quizzed we would remember and pass.
I can analyze evidence to make judgements. When we had to name the parts of the dissection, we would look a picture of a pig already dissected and labeled and go off of that. I was able to use judgement to see if that part I was looking that on the picture was the part I was pointing to on my dissection. I would look at the surrounding organs and the location of the organ of my pig and compare it to the picture and then I would decided if they were the same or just looked familiar.
I can advocate for myself. During this lab when I was uncomfortable doing part of the dissection or if I felt like I was doing majority of the work I would tell my partner so that she had to help out. I would make sure that we had the same amount of cutting time and that if she was uncomfortable cutting something I would cut it and vise versa. During the dissection I would wash the pig once it was all cut but I made sure that my partner helped. I would hold the pig under the water and she would have to move the organs so that the water could clean it out cause it was unfair for me to do all of it.
