Ms Knight is going to make a website to post class work. I will post a link shortly! Today we looked at French Philosphes and their impact on the French Revolution. Snacks included.

Intro to government
Today we did quite a bit… Started with a brain storm of what we will learn in Government unit. Some discussions were more on topic then others.
We did notes on the three branches of government. Legislative, Executive and Judicial. I used this OLD SCHOOL lecture PDF but we supplemented by looking up the people currently in these positions (rather then go with decades old names) 3-Branches-of-Government
and used this document to start notes 3-Introduction-to-Canada
Your homework was to read something on a local politician

French Revolution with Ms Knight
We started the French Revolution with Ms Knight yesterday. The unit will continue looking at how and why French society went through such a drastic world changing event.
Government Unit
Today we wrote a World War One unit test, and most trench letters have been handed in. Tomorrow we will start a Government unit. This is switching gears to make sure we are studying our government section during the election. This only made sense to me…
We will continue with history (the 20’s and 30’s will be the following unit) once we are done Government.
