Curricular Response
- Kinematics 1D : Kinematics in 1D relates to the motion of objects, and the cause of motion, in one-dimension, it is all scalar values (only relying on speed, distance, and time)
- Kinematics 2D: Kinematics in 2D branch 1D Kinematics, with displacements such as directional vectors and speed change.
- Dynamics: Dynamics relates to the forces of motion with mass, energy, and momentum.
- Energy: Energy relates to the capacity to do work, which uses dynamics too—kinetic and potential energy or power.
- Waves: Waves relate to how energy can move from one place to another, which branch off from the Energy unit
- Circuits: Circuits incorporate Energy through electron flow, using batteries as a power source. Current and Resistance are also associated.
Core Competency Reflecting and Assessing
- I listed out how these units can relate to each other and incorporate their learning in other types of physics
- Yes, I think everything is connected in physics, and these are some of the basic grounds which are already a known fact.
