Landforms.

1. (blue arrow) Through the middle of Edmonton there is a huge river called north Saskatchewan river, this is one of the many landforms that are in Edmonton. It is there because there is a slow but noticeable downward decline from fort Saskatchewan to Devon. They make money from the river by using hydropower, the water from the river flows down and about 300 Km away is a hydroelectric facility.

2. (water drop) There are a lot of wetlands in Edmonton, this is because of mainly one reason. They get a lot of rain/snow. And when the rain falls, it falls heavy and same thing with the snow. They make money from this by gathering the resources from the wetlands (fish and shellfish, blueberries, cranberries, timber and wild rice.) and sell them to people like, towns folk, other cities, fishermen, store, etc.

Climate.

3. (snowflake) The snow in Edmonton is caused by the extreme cold and winds they get there, It is also very dry in Edmonton which makes snow much more common. Even though the snow has a very small impact on the economy, they still can make money on stuff like, snow clearing industry’s. These people go around and pick up the snow from the roads and the ground. Snowy sports, The snow on the ground makes it ideal for snowy sports like, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding etc.

4. (desert) It is very dry in Edmonton, this is due to the location in the Canadian prairies which is know for there low humidity levels. It is also influenced by its high latitude with a similar latitude of northern Europe. Although the dry climate also has a very small economic impact on the city they still make a small bit of money because, the dry climate reduces energy consumption for things like air conditioning.

Vegetation.

5. (tree) One of the most common vegetations in Edmonton is the forestry, this is because Edmonton gets a lot of sun, water and nutrients. They get a lot of the water from the melted snow they have, they are in a very sunny area (barely see clouds even if its raining/snowing.) and the soil is combined with decaying plant material which gives it nutrients. They make money off of the forests by selling the wood material to other places for trade, they have a sustaining amount of this resource so it’s a cash flow for Edmonton.

6. (flower) The second vegetation is grass lands, the reason grasslands can grow is because of the good soil and lots of rain. Ways they could make money are. through wildcrafting, grasslands are filled with many berry’s plants and more. which can be turned into medicine, food, beverages, floral decoration etc.
