Core Competency Reflection

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in…
I showed I can communicate clearly and purposefully during presentations. For our project on Satire II Project Rubric, my job was to talking about what current government doing wrong. I didn’t just list facts. I thought about why each facts was important and how it connected to the next. I used simple words so everyone could follow along, even if they weren’t experts. My goal was to make sure everyone truly understood how satire can change people’s mind, not just to share information.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I….
When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I often turn to a quick walk outside, especially if it’s sunny. Even ten or fifteen minutes of fresh air and seeing some greenery helps clear my head. If I’m feeling really stuck on a task, I’ll put on some instrumental music, like lo-fi beats or classical piano. That helps block out distractions and creates a calm background for my thoughts. Sometimes, a short break to stretch or drink water also does the trick to get me back on track with a clearer mind.

Accounting 11 Year End Core Competency Reflection

I can apply critical thinking to solve accounting problems and reflect on my learning process to improve my understanding – In Accounting 11, I learned how to complete the full accounting cycle, including adjusting entries, using T accounts, and closing with the income summary. I improved my problem-solving skills by calculating adjustments like prepaid insurance. I also got better at organizing financial information and understanding how everything connects. At first, I was practiced. Now I feel confident reading and preparing accounting documents. This course gave me useful skills for the future.

Study smart Not harder

Effective Study Techniques

Think about what I read is better than just reading it again. The best students plan their study time well. A study of 700 medical students showed that using five or six good study habits helps learning.

Time Management

Good time management will helps me focus. Set a study schedule and remove distractions. Studying alone can help for concentrate. Let friends and family know when you’re studying. Break study time into small parts and try to study at least five days a week.

Teaching and Learning

Teaching someone else is a good way to learn. When you explain things to others, I can remember them more. It can help you remember and feel more confident.

The Power of Testing

Taking tests will be helps to learn and remember more. Research shows that testing prevents forgetting. Self testing works better than just rereading. The more you test myself, the better you will remember the material.

Conclusion

Testing often will be helps to remember things for a long time. By using good study habits, managing time well, and testing myself, then I can become a better learner.

Semester 1 Core Competency ELD 11

I integrated new information to expand my understanding and improving my writing. I listen to constructive feedback for how to editing my paragraph best way and use it for better works. I reassess my approach when I needed to better results. This processes helps me continuously improve in writing and reading.

PHOTOGRAPHY 10 FINAL REFLECTION

Personal and Social
Creative thinking

I generate new ideas as I pursue my interests

ARTIFACTS

REFLECTION

In the colour theory Assignment, I developed a new way to express emotions and mood through art, Specifically, I learned about how temperatures (cold and warm both) can help convey a person’s emotions in their art. So I used black and white colours to show calm and peaceful feelings. My black mood board gave me a ideas to create a simple and still design, I used a warm light to make the photo soft and added contrast to make it stand out. The colour theory assignment helped me to learn how small details, like light and shadows, can change the mood of an image. I enjoyed trying a new ideas and being creative. My final result is shows a quiet and peaceful feeling, It shows how I can come up with new ideas while doing something I enjoy.

Chemistry 11 Lab 20C Edublog post

Curricular Competency Explanation

A titration is a lab method used to find the concentration of a unknown solution by reacting it with a solution of known concentration. In this lab, we used titration to figure out the molarity of the unknown hydrochloric acid (HCI) solution by adding a sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution of known solution. During the experience, we slowly added NaOH to the HCI until the reaction reached the endpoint. The endpoint is the point when the two solution have a reacted completely, It means the moles of NaOH and HCI are equal as 1:1. We knew we reached the endpoint when the phenolphthalein indictor changed the solution to a pink color, which is stayed for about 30 seconds. Using the volume of NaOH added and simple calculations, we found that the moles of the HCI solution was about 0.1357M, This lab showed how careful measuring and observing can help us to solve real problems in chemistry.

Core Competency Reflection:

The one core competency that I showed in lab is thinking. I used my thinking skills to following steps of the titration carefully and make sure my measurement is correct. For example, I checked the burette reading closely and did more than one trial to get consistent results, I also used math skills to calculate the moles of NaOH and HCI, and figure the concentration of the HCI. This made me think about each step and stay focused on the lab. By paying attention and taking my time, I was able to get good results. This lab helped me feel more confident about using science to solve problems.

Workplace Math 11 Core Competency reflection

One way I try to build and keep good relationship is by inviting people who don’t have a group or partner to join our game. This way, they won’t feel left out, and it’s more fun to work with more people.

I was focus on to understanding the rules and strategies to improve my gameplay. I try to stay organized and plan my moves carefully, which helps me contribute to the group and keeps the game running smoothly.

If someone in the group has a different idea or opinion during the game, I try to listen and think about their point of view. Working together and being open minded helps us enjoy the game and learn from each other.

My Core Competency Goals

Management Goal

If I feel sad, angry, or frustrated, I will use deep breathing exercises to help me stay calm. So I will take a few minutes each day to practice deep breathing and keep a simple journal to track how I feel.

Decision Making

This year, I will make sure that being honest helps me decide how to handle my schoolwork and treat others. Before making big decisions, I will think about being honest and ask a teacher or mentor for advice if needed.

To Building Relationships

To build relationships, I will listen carefully, be kind, and help others when they need it. I will have regular, friendly talks with friends and family and be there to support them when they need help.

Measuring an inaccessible height

Curricular Competency

I can analyze and explore concepts using math tools, I made a clinometer and used it to calculate the height of the library of wall. The wall was 12.4m height.

Core Competency Reflection

I was learned about how to measure the height of the library of wall, and collaborating with cris to how different with my result

Social Studies Final Reflection

Communication: I’ve gotten better at asking and answering questions, summarizing ideas, and understanding that people can have different opinions. I’ve learned how to disagree respectfully.

Thinking: I can find good information sources, think about what I’ve learned, and tell the difference between facts and opinions.

Personal and Social: I now see how my values affect my choices. I understand that who I am is made up of my life experiences, family history, and culture. Working with my peers in a group is something I can do well, appreciating different points of view.
