MEAL PLANING ASSIGNMENT

Problem

The problem is that this family of 4 all have a busy schedule at different time, the purpose of this assignment is to create a meal plan for this family and figure out which family member is the most free so they can cook, what time dinner is best for them, the portion of those recipes so nothing goes to waste and recipes that fit their schedule times, so they can all eat together as a family.

Solution

 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
Recipe  Beef and Spinach Lasagna   Black bean Tacos  Chickpea Cauliflower Curry  Tuna Casserole  Sushi
Part of Recipe  Full recipe (12 servings)   Full recipe (4 servings)  ½ of recipe (four servings)  1/2 of recipe (four servings)  Full recipe (1/6th for the night, rest as leftovers for weekend)
Cook  5:30-6:50pm (80 minutes)   6:00- 6:15pm (15 minutes)  5:30-6:00pm (25 minutes)  5:00 – 5:23pm (22 and a half minutes)  5:30-6:15pm
Dinner Time  7:00 pm   6:25pm  6:10pm  5:35pm  6:25pm

Justification

Monday is teen 1’s birthday so they are having 8 guests for dinner. Parent B must make the Lasagna, as it is a hard recipe, and they have the most time on their hands. They make the full recipe because there are 8 guests coming. Parent B starts making the meal at 5:30 and finish at 6:50. They prepare the table for 10 minutes and sit down to eat at 7:05.

Tuesday Teen 2 makes dinner. They go with a good old fashioned Taco Tuesday, and Teen 2 makes it because it’s quick and easy, something great for their skill level. They make it around 6 until 6:15 and prepare the table for 15 minutes. They all sit down to eat at 6:25.

Wednesday Teen 1 and 2 gets home from school at 3:30, later they make dinner at 5:30pm. They make a simple yet delicious chickpea cauliflower curry. It works perfects for both of their times, and it is good for their skill level. Then parent B comes home at 6 and parent A comes home at 5:30 and then everyone sits down and eats at 6:10.

Thursday Parent A cooks Tuna Casserole on Thursday. This is the only time Parent A cooks, as they work much more than the others. This is one of the two days they have less work, so they decide to pitch in. They only cook half of the recipe to accommodate for 4 people, as there is no special event going on that day. They start cooking at 5 o’clock and ends at 5:23. They then take 10 minutes to set the table and sit down to eat at 5:35 (an extra 2 minutes for everyone to get set).

Friday teen 1 cooks sushi on Friday. They start at 5:30 and end at 6:15. Dinnertime is at 6:25. They eat 1/6 of the sushi and save the rest of the 5/6 sushi for the weekend.

Describe all the ways your group communicated and shared information with each other.

§ Describe all the ways your group used technology. Describe situations where technology was helpful, and if applicable, when it made your work more difficult.

Technology was easy in finding the new recipe which helped us a lot.

§ Describe in detail how tasks were distributed in your group.

Well when the boss of our group was handing out the tasked, We were listening and then focused on it later. I was finding a new recipe I found the sushi recipe.

§ What specific tasks did you complete? When I look at your group’s solution, where can I see evidence of your contribution?

Well when I was finding the sushi recipe i was doing that and writing down Friday. what time dinner was and when it was finished.

I use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstrated in these quistions, I don’t know how though.

I seek, develop and weigh options as demonstrated in the last bit for Friday and the new recipe.

Thinking

Critical thinking

Learning chemistry in science even though I was failing. But I think I could have done better than this. I chose critical thinking cause we were finding out the names of the elements, and it was lot of fun playing and testing what colour the fire was and it was fantastic.

aching sore after workouts meditate
annoying friends listen to music

The coping mechanism I work out with is just listen to music. Walk away from it and try new things. Read books gets my mind off things. I leave school (at lunch) I take a walk. I take a break when things get diffacult and then get back to it later while listening to music.
